ST. PAUL (AP) - A St. Paul man accused of setting fire to the two-story duplex where he lived has been charged with first-degree arson but may have fled Minnesota.

46-year-old Kenneth Manuel Knick was charged Friday in the Sept. 21 fire. No one was injured in the blaze.

A criminal complaint says Knick woke his 18-year-old son and told him to get the dog and leave the home because Knick had just set a fire.

It says a Knick also warned a man living in the upstairs unit to leave the building, telling him, "I'm really burning this place down now."

Knick's son told officials he heard his father had taken a family friend's truck, was headed to Duluth and could leave the state.
