St. Joseph Police Chief Announces His Retirement [AUDIO]

ST. JOSEPH – St. Joseph Police Chief Pete Jansky has announced his retirement. During this (Thursday) evening’s city council meeting, he told the council he’ll be stepping down as the city’s top cop in August.

Jansky has been St. Joseph’s Police Chief since 2001. He also was a patrol cop for the city from 1981 through 1987.
He started his career in law enforcement in 1979.
Jansky says his last day on patrol will be August 22nd, the day before his birthday.
