ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Police Department is looking for volunteers.

The St. Cloud Police Reserve program is taking applications for new members.

The program is made up of 25 community members who volunteer their time assisting licensed officers in their daily duties.

Each volunteer is expected to attend one monthly training meeting and volunteer a minimum of eight hours of ride time per month.

Reserves train on self-defense, firearms, handcuffing, tasers, traffic control, and other areas.  Applicants must be at least 18-years-old, a U.S. citizen or have a work visa, a valid driver's license, and a note from your doctor.

The deadline to apply is June 6th.  You can get an application at the front desk of the police department, or online.
