St. Cloud Police: Buffalo Man Runs Red Light, Causes Crash

ST. CLOUD - Police say inattentive driving is to blame for a two-vehicle crash on Highway 23 in St. Cloud. It happened just before 4:00 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning at the 25th Avenue intersection.

Nineteen-year-old Nicholas Sothman of Buffalo was driving south on 25th Avenue when he went through the intersection on a red light. Sothman was given a ticket.

A passenger in his vehicle, 19-year-old Taran Schonhardt, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle was a 49-year-old man from Sauk Rapids.
