St. Cloud Metro Unemployment Rate Dropped in May

UNDATED - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud metro area dropped last month.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says the local unemployment rate was at 5.1 percent in May, down from 5.8 percent in April.

The local unemployment rate dipped slightly below the statewide average of 5.3 percent.  It's also well below the national average of 7.6 percent.
