St. Cloud Man Killed in Saturday Morning Crash

WAITE PARK -- An elderly St. Cloud man was killed in a Waite Park traffic crash Saturday morning.

Police say 86-year-old Berdell Feichtinger had turned into the intersection and was hit by oncoming traffic. The crash happened at about 9:35 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 3rd Street Northeast and 2nd Avenue Northeast behind Crossroads mall.

Feichtinger was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he died.

The driver of the other car, 38-year-old Shawn Barber of Waite Park was taken to the hospital by a private party for non-life threatening injuries.
