UPDATE: North Dakota Patrol Identifies Man Killed In Crash Involving St. Cloud Man

GRASSY BUTTE, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a man who was killed in a crash. They say 23-year-old Lucas Bennett of Dickinson, North Dakota died at the scene of the crash.

Bennett was a passenger in a pick-up driven by 21-year-old Austin Krueger of St. Cloud. Krueger was flown to the Minot hospital for treatment of his injuries.

They were driving on a highway north of the town of Grassy Butte at about 7:30 a.m. yesterday (Tuesday) when they swerved to avoid hitting a deer, hit an icy patch, and struck a semi.

The driver of the semi was a 54-year-old Montana man. He was taken to the Watford city hospital.
