St. Cloud Man Arrested For Domestic Assault

ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man has been jailed on suspicion of domestic assault.

St. Cloud Police were called to the 1000 block of 7th Street North at about 2:15 this (Friday) morning. Police say 22-year-old Thomas Nelson had thrown hot coffee on his wife and she feared for her safety.

Nelson was taken to the Stearns County Jail where he faces charges of gross misdemeanor domestic assault. Police say the charge is enhanced because of a prior domestic related conviction within the last 10 years.
