ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud Hospital is taking steps to prevent the abduction of a baby.

Starting Friday the hospital's Children's Center will be a locked unit.  T0 access the Children's Center, visitors will have to take D elevator to the third floor, where they'll be asked to show a photo ID and provide both the first and last name of the patient they want to see.

Diane Pelant is the clinical director of the Children's Center.  She says "having a locked unit will decrease traffic flow and allow for better monitoring".
