ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud City Council approved the construction of a pet care and learning center to the Anna Marie's Alliance facility tonight (Monday).

The facility will offer lodging for a maximum of five cats and five dogs, along with caged areas for smaller animals.

The center will provide a place of play for children to interact with the animals, inside the learning center and outside in a fenced enclosure.

Anna Marie's Alliance is for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
