ST. CLOUD - If you were wondering why you've been hearing about a lot of burglaries in St. Cloud this summer, it's because there ARE more.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Marty Sayre says the uptick in the number of burglaries has been quite dramatic.

Sayre says there are reason why more burglaries happen on the south side than elsewhere.

Sayre says most of the burglars are stealing electronics like laptops, idods and GPS units. He suggests taking pictures of and writing down serial numbers for electronic items, which increases the potential for the police to track them down.
