ST. CLOUD -- Just released figures from St. Cloud Regional Airport shows nearly 13,800 passengers either flew into or out of St. Cloud Airport in the first quarter of 2014.  It translates into a load factor of 86.54%.

Airport Director Bill Towle has said Allegiant Airlines looks for a load factor in the 90% range for its flights.

January's passenger numbers were down considerably with a load factor of just over 78%. The load factor in February was at nearly 90% and in March it was 91%. The load factor measures how many seats are full on those flights.

Allegiant offers weekly flights to Mesa, Arizona and Orlando, Florida.

Allegiant Air announced two weeks ago that it's pulling out of the Rochester International Airport and will end its weekly nonstop flights to Arizona from there on May 14.

St. Cloud Airport has also struck a deal with Skywest Airlines to provide weekly flights to and from Chicago's O'Hare Airport. Those flights are scheduled to start May 6th.
