ST. CLOUD -- The Stearns County History Museum hosted a sports collectible show today featuring memorabilia from some of the biggest names in sports history.

Sports fans from all over the area gathered to buy, sell and trade as local dealers showed off their collections.

Collector Dan Heiser organized the free event, he says he hopes this is the first of many shows to be in St. Cloud.

"We're hoping to do one [show] every month, hopefully every second Saturday of the month will work out," Heiser says.

"If you have some extra stuff form your collection, bring it out...and if you don't know what it's worth and you bring it over, we can [appraise] it too."

Heiser has been collecting for years and he says that some of his fellow collectors have some very rare finds.

"There are some guys here who have some really nice older stuff," Heiser says.

The highlights of the show featured rookie cards of Satchel Paige and Jackie Robinson along with several other autographed cards and pictures.

Heiser says the show is a great time for all ages and kids that attend will get free gifts and books.

The next Sports Cards and Collectibles show will again be at the Stearns County History Museum on December 13th.
