Shooting In Burnsville Store Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

BURNSVILLE (AP) - Authorities are investigating what prompted a shooting inside a discount store in Burnsville that left one person dead and another injured.

The shooting at the Dollar Tree store in a Burnsville shopping area happened over the noon hour Monday. One victim died Monday evening and the other was hospitalized in unknown condition. Both were males.

Police arrested a suspect without incident a few blocks away. Police Chief Eric Gieseke called the shooting "tragic and senseless."

Dollar Tree employees declined to talk about the incident.
