Sherry Lynn Sorenson, 64, Clear Lake

February 2, 1951 - January 28, 2016

Sherry Lynn Sorenson, age 64 of Clear Lake, passed away Thursday at her home. There will be a gathering from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker, MN.

Sherry was born Feb. 2, 1951 in Ada, MN to Leland & Nina (Vigasaw) Shirley. She married Gerald Sorenson on September 4, 1970 in Borup, MN. They raised their family in the Columbia Heights/Fridley area and currently resided at Briggs Lake. Sherry worked as a manager for Nutri System, Inc. and also worked for Savers in St. Cloud in sales and pricing jewelry. She enjoyed fishing, reading, crossword puzzles, the outdoors, shopping, and cooking especially beef stew and fried pork chops. Sherry was strong willed and lived life to the fullest.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Jerry of Clear Lake, MN; daughter and son, Nikki of Omaha, NE and Jason of Blaine, MN; grandchildren, Joey and Jaden Sorenson, and Sophia Marrinan; brother and sister, Bruce Shirley of Fargo, ND and Lois (Jim) Gnedt of Ada, MN. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gary Lietzau of Grand Forks, ND.
