Semi Driver Hurt In Crash On Interstate 94 Near Melrose

MELROSE - A semi driver was hurt when the truck he was driving went into the median and hit the cable barrier.  The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 2:45 p.m. on Friday on Interstate 94 at Highway 237 in Stearns County near Melrose.

A semi driven by 59-year-old Paul Rivers of Breckenridge was traveling east on I-94 when it veered into the median ditch where it struck the cable barrier and rolled. The semi came to rest with the trailer blocking both of the westbound lanes.

Rivers was taken to Melrose hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
