MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Searchers are looking for two missing people seen jumping into the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.

The Hennepin County sheriff's office says witnesses reported seeing two people jump from the Stone Arch Bridge into the river about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. The witnesses did not know the people who jumped.

The sheriff's office and the Minneapolis Fire Department began searching the river.

Authorities have not found the missing people and believe the two have drowned.
