Sauk Rapids Truck Company Acquires Des Moines Dealership

SAUK RAPIDS -- A Sauk Rapids-based truck dealership is expanding. GATR Truck Center has purchased the Mckenna Truck Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

The acquisition is the third dealership for the Sauk Rapids company. GATR bought a second location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2011.

GATR carries Volvo brand trucks and is a two-time winner of the Volvo Dealer of the Year award.

GATR opened in Sauk Rapids in 1962 under the name Grile Auto & Truck Repair.
