Sauk Rapids Man Arrested for Alleged Domestic Assault

ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police have arrested a 31-year-old Sauk Rapids man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Officers were called to Anna Maries Women's Shelter yesterday (Monday) just after 5:30 p.m.  The 27-year-old woman says the attack happened in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue Southeast at about 3:15 p.m.

Matthew Bellanger is also accused of taking items from the victim's vehicle.  He's being held in the Benton County Jail.
