Sauk Rapids Honors the ‘Citizen Of The Year’
SAUK RAPIDS - Sauk Rapids has honored its "Citizen of the year". Robyn Paul was recognized this (Monday) evening with a reception and program at the Government Center.
Paul has volunteered nearly 1,000 hours at Good Shepard since 2006.
I think I've been there about nine years. I'm not really sure, that's what I've been told. I work up at the Northern Delights store, and it's just a great place to be because I get to visit with the residents, I get to visit with the staff, I get to visit with my friends that are coming in and out. Get to meet a lot of people, and do a lot of different activities. It's just a great place to be.
Paul also volunteers once a year at the school with their magazine sales. She says volunteering is something anyone can do.
Just do it. Just do it. I never intended to be doing what I'm all doing. I'm just following my heart and doing what I like to do. And, it's amazing the things and opportunities that have opened up to me. It doesn't have to be a lot . You don't have to be the best. You don't have to be perfect. Just do it.
This is the 29th annual Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year award.
