The Kansas City Royals beat the Twins 10-5 Wednesday afternoon at Target Field.  Kansas City scored 6 runs in the 4th inning and added 3 more in the 9th.  Mike Aviles went 2-4 with 3 RBIs for the Royals and Denard Span was 4-5 with 2 runs scored for Minnesota.  Delmon Young went 2-4 with 2 RBIs for the Twins.  Francisco Liriano took the loss allowing 8 hits and 7 earned runs in 5 innings.  He's 0-3 on the season.  Minnesota is 4-7 and will begin a 4-game series at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida at 5:40 tonight, pregame on WJON at 5:10.  Righthander Carl Pavano (1-1) gets the start on the  mound for the Twins and righthander James Shields (0-1) toes the rubber for the Rays.
