Rosa Therese Hooper, age 76, Waite Park, MN died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family in Waite Park.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.

Rosa was born December 24, 1939 in Waite Park, MN to Alphonse and Hildegard (Friedrich) Kirchner. She married Thomas F. Hooper on August 25, 1959 in Waite Park, MN.

Survivors include sons and daughters, Scott (Denise) Hooper of Waite Park, MN; Jim (Mary) Hooper of Jordan, MN; Heidi Emslander of Sartell, MN; Mandy (Steve) Wendt of Kimball, MN; brother, Michael (Kathy) Kirchner of St. Cloud, MN; sister, Karleen Kellogg of Plymouth, MI; brothers-in-law, Anthony Philipsek of Waite Park, MN; Harvey Kalla of Waite Park, MN; William (Elaine) Hooper of Crosslake, MN; Robert (Kathleen) Hooper of Minnetonka, MN; John (Becky) Hooper of Nikiski, AK; George (Jan) Hooper of Baxter, MN; sister-in-law, Pat Hooper of St. Augusta, MN; seven grandchildren, Sam (Jackie) Hooper, Chelsea Emslander, Chad Emslander, Mitchell Emslander, Ellie (Cody) Kerr, Hannah (Mitch) McGillick, Jake Hooper; one great granddaughter, Vivienne Hooper; and long time friend, Diane (Butch) Wendt of St. Cloud, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas F. Hooper on July 25, 2008, and three sisters, Rita Philipsek, Joan Theisen and Mary Lou Kalla.
