Ronald “Ron” Merril Kobow, 70, Becker

January 27, 1946 - July 3, 2016

Memorial Services will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater for Ronald “Ron” Merril Kobow, age 70, who passed away Sunday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Steve Timm will officiate and burial will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Ronald Merril Kobow was born Jan. 27, 1946 in Minneapolis to Merril and Leone (Barland) Kobow. He Married Deena Monk on Oct. 10, 1992 at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater. Ron worked as a salesman in the automobile industry for 35 years. He was a member of Rejoice Lutheran Church. Ron enjoyed playing Texas Hold’em, golfing, bowling, going to the lake, and spending time with his granddaughter, Sophia. He was a loving husband and caring father. Ron was a funny person who had an answer for everything, even if it wasn’t right.

Ron is survived by his wife, Deena of Becker; children, Matthew (Amanda Spiering) of Becker, Joshua (Lindsey) of Minneapolis, Cassandra Roscoe of Gilbert, AZ, and Carlee of Becker; granddaughter, Sophia Roscoe; sister and brother, Peg (Dan) Levens of Buffalo and Jeffrey (Denise Davis) of North Dakota; uncle, Howard Kobow of Miltona; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Denise Robinson and Karol McGaughey.
