Ronald “Ron” L. Newman, 64, St. Cloud

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Ronald “Ron” L. Newman, age 64 of St. Cloud, who died Friday at his home. Rev. Ken Felska will officiate and burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale at a later date. Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday.

Ron was born November 14, 1950 in St. Cloud to Ralph and Virginia (Randall) Newman. He has lived in the St. Cloud area since 1960. Ron was an auto mechanic and owned and operated his own business for 30 years. He enjoyed riding his Victory motorcycle, making trips across the country and spending time with his buddies. He was a very kind, friendly, responsible and independent man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his significant other, Dawn Strumn of Marshall; brother, Daryl (Jeanne) Newman of St. Cloud; sisters, Beverly Laabs of Fairhaven and Karen (Dean) Mozena of Kimball; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law Clarence “Kenny” Laabs; and special friend, Pat.
