Robert Allen Bakken, 80, Sartell

Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Country Manor Chapel, 520 1st St. NE, Sartell for Robert Allen Bakken who died peacefully on March 4, 2017 at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at Country Manor Chapel.

Bob was born on Jan. 25, 1937 in Bagley to Omer and Ida (Tollifson) Bakken. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1955 and served in the military from 1960-1962. Bob married Mavis Johnson in June of 1965 and they later divorced. He then married Nancy Wilson in September of 1997. He worked at several jobs over his lifetime-ran his own TV repair business and worked for Sears as a Service Technician, retiring in 1997. Bob enjoyed fishing, traveling, going to the casino, and visiting with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy of Sartell; sons, James (Sue) Bakken of St. Joseph and Steven Bakken of Sauk Centre; daughter, Kari Jo (Josh) Wells of Cass Lake; step-daughter, Barbara (Shawn Andrist) Wilson of Rochester; step-son, Greg (Carla) Wilson of Monticello; grandchildren, Logan Bakken, Lillyanna Wells, Gillian (Josh) Collins, Acacia McCabe, Brianna McCabe and Amelia Wilson; great grandson, Liam Collins; and sister, Lora Weber of Minneapolis. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Omer & Ida Bakken; and infant daughter, Kay.
