RICHMOND -- A 49-year-old Richmond man was hurt after crashing his motorcycle Thursday night.

The crash happened two miles south of Richmond on County Road 43 at about 8:45 p.m.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Department says Daniel Yarke was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when he hit the gravel on the side of the road, over-corrected, went across the road, hit the opposite shoulder, and was tossed from the bike as it rolled several times into the ditch.

Yarke was treated at the scene by Eden Valley Fire and Rescue and Paynesville Ambulance. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
