Richard L. “Rick” Goodell, Jr., 54, Sauk Rapids

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Richard L. Goodell, Jr., age 54, who passed away at his home on Monday unexpectedly from a heart attack. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the services Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Richard was born June 14, 1960 in Mankato to Richard L., Sr. & Amy (Murilla) Goodell. He grew up in St. Peter and attended St. Peter High School and later attended St. Cloud Technical College. He moved to St. Cloud in 1980 and to Sauk Rapids in 1998. Richard was a current employee of Schill Trucking in St. Augusta. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, trips to Duluth and watching birds. Richard was a very laid back, easygoing man who got along with everyone. He enjoyed being around his family and friends especially his sons and grandkids.

Survivors include his sons, Jason (Taryn) of Elbow Lake and Cory of St. Cloud; parents, Richard, Sr. & Amy of St. Peter; grandchildren, Aubrey Grace Goodell, Canton Taylor Goodell and Mason Jeffery Goodell; sisters, Linda Stavne of Marshall, Carol (Dan) Kramer of St. Cloud, Chris (Bruce) Manteufel of St. Peter; special friend, Irene Hanson of St. Cloud, 5 nieces, 4 nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents; and niece, Erica Grothe.
