ST. PAUL  (AP) - An extensive review finds no serious problems with the work of Ramsey County's longtime chief medical examiner.

Ramsey County Attorney John Choi released the review of Dr. Michael McGee on Thursday.

Choi ordered the review last September, prompted by a Douglas County judge's finding that McGee gave "false or incorrect" testimony in a rural murder case.

Michael Hansen was convicted in the 2004 death of his baby girl, thanks in part to testimony from McGee. Hansen's conviction was overturned last July, and the Douglas County prosecutor dismissed all charges in September, calling the case "forensically compromised."

Choi says McGee should have consulted a doctor experienced at treating infants with skull fractures.

McGee defended his handling of the Hansen case in a statement released Thursday.
