Rain Sets St. Cloud Back on Pothole Patching

ST. CLOUD -- If it seems like there are still a lot of potholes around town, you're right. St. Cloud Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance Gerald Kaeter says they are about five weeks behind schedule because of the recent rain and late start to spring.

Kaeter says you can still call their pothole hotline to report large potholes at 650-2900.

Kaeter also says when they suspended their sealcoating program in 2008 because of budget constraints, it left many of the roads vulnerable to wear and tear.

St. Cloud has a priority list of roads that need to be re-done and are working on those projects as they are scheduled. Kaeter says 9th Avenue North is an example of a project in major need of repair that will be done by this fall.
