Prosecutors Finish Closing Arguments in Brian Fitch Murder Trial

ST. CLOUD - The prosecution has presented its closing arguments in the Brian Fitch Senior murder trial this (Monday) morning in Stearns County Court.

Prosecutors recapped the events the day before and the day of the deadly shooting of Officer Scott Patrick. They talked about how the forensic evidence in the case is basically the smoking gun against Fitch.

The defense attorneys are giving their closing arguments right now.

The jury is expected to begin deliberating this afternoon.

Fitch is on trial in the fatal shooting of Officer Patrick last July during a traffic stop in West St. Paul. He's also accused of trying to shoot other officers who tracked him down in St. Paul later that day.
