ST. CLOUD -- Fewer tickets were issued during St. Cloud State University's move-in weekend compared to last year.

St. Cloud Police say there were 310 charges last year and only 268 this year. Police say a total of 196 people committed those crimes compared to 240 in 2010.

Of the tickets handed out, 76 people were cited for underage drinking, 122 open container tickets were issued, six noise violations and eight people were ticketed for urinating in public. Other tickets were handed out for things like fleeing police on foot, disorderly conduct and fake I.D.'s.

Police booked 25 people into the Stearns County Jail related to the move-in day enforcement.
