Police: Man Arrested In Boy’s Brooklyn Park Death

BROOKLYN PARK (AP) - Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to the death of a 1-year-old boy in Brooklyn Park.

Brooklyn Park Police say they arrested the man on suspicion of homicide on Thursday morning. Police say the suspect is known to family members of the boy and is being held at the Brooklyn Park Jail. No charges have been reported.

Police were called to a home Tuesday evening because the boy wasn't breathing. He was taken to North Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

Police say witnesses said the child had been assaulted. Police say the suspect had left the scene before first responders arrived.
