HUTCHINSON -- Hutchinson police are looking for a suspect accused of fleeing with a table full of Nike hoodies from a department store Monday evening.

Police say the thief took about 20 of the garments, with an estimated value of $1,100 from the J.C. Penney store on Highway 15 South, just after 6:00 p.m.

Store officials say a white male, about 5'8” tall, with a shaved blonde head put the hoodies in a bag, left the store, and then drove off in a silver 2000 Chrysler 300.

Detailed information on the vehicle was obtained through the license plate number.

Hutchinson Police say the license plate identified the owner as living in Minneapolis however, when Minneapolis Police followed up on that information, they said the owner no longer lived at that address.

But authorities were able to track down a relative of the suspect living in Arden Hills.

That relative told Minneapolis police that the car had been sold to an unknown person for drug money.

The investigation continues.
