Phyllis A. Tadych, 84, St. Cloud

July 7, 1932 - December 19, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 23, 2016 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud for Phyllis A. Tadych, 84 of St. Cloud who passed away Monday surrounded by her loving family. Rev. Scott Pogatchnik will officiate and burial will be in MN State Veterans Cemetery. Friends and family may call 4-8 PM, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in St. Cloud and also one hour prior to services Friday at the church. St. Augustine’s parish prayers will be at 7 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Phyllis was born in St. Cloud to Herbert and Clara (Schmit) Zieglmeier. She married Florian A. Tadych on September 29, 1950 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Phyllis was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very artistic and creative which was evident in her gardening, sewing and painting. Phyllis volunteered at the hospital gift shop for many years and also gave her time as a Cub Scout Den Leader and Blue Bird Leader. She worked for Holes Webway and she babysat from her home; caring for the children as her own prior to working in food service at the St. Cloud Hospital until retiring.

Survivors include her children, Melvin (Janet) of St. Cloud, Kevin (Helen) of St. Stephen, Karen Tadych of St. Joseph and Brian (Karen) of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Rebecca Krasselt, Jessica Tadych, Matthew Tadych, Calli (Cody) Anderson, Mitchell Tadych, Michelle (Jim) Arnold, Michael (Anne) Tadych; great-grandchildren, Hailey Arnold, Kirsten Arnold, Ayden Anderson, Bennett Anderson, Claire Biddle; brothers, Gary (Sharon) Zieglmeier of Oak Grove and Herbert (Suzanne) Zieglmeier of St. Augustine, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Florian (January 18, 2012) and son, Alan.

Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or Poor Clares Monastery.
