Phillip W. Axford, age 66, St. Joseph, MN died Friday, September 16, 2016 at home in Clear Lake with family and friends at his side.

Funeral services will be 11;00 AM Friday, September 23, 2016 at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Following the service Phil’s urn will be buried in the Assumption Cemetery.

Phillip was born in Windom, MN to William and Shirley (Borchardt) Axford. He was married to Mary Ann Condon on June 14, 1995 at the Community Church of Joy in Peoria, AZ. Phil was a member of the Waters Church in Sartell, and an active member of both the Sun City Grand Lawn Bowling and Bocce Ball Leagues. He was an avid bicyclist and dog rescuer. Phil graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Systems and workd for American Express in technical support and customer service for over 20 years.

Survivors include his loving wife Mary Ann Condon-Axford; son, Phillip W. Axford, Jr. of Thief River Falls, MN; brother, Mark Axford of Fosston, MN; sisters, Pam (Steve )Fetzek of Lakeville, MN, Wendy (Tim) Sursley of Rocester, MN, Becky (Steve) Weidert of Austin, MN; four grandchildren, Alexandria, William and Elijah Thurwanger and Quade Axford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lynn Marie Axford-Thurwanger.
