Peter Skudlarek, Jr., Sauk Rapids, 54

 

November 16, 1959 – July 25, 2014

 

Peter SkudlarekMass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Peter Skudlarek, Jr., age 54, who passed away Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Ralph Zimmerman will officiate and burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and also one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday morning. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Peter was born Nov. 16, 1959 in St. Cloud to Peter, Sr. and Dorothy (Stellmach) Skudlarek. Peter served his country in the United States Army and after his honorable discharge from the military he worked as a nurse. He was also a brick layer for many years. In recent years he owned many local properties. Peter enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling in his Geo Metro and visiting with friends. He was outgoing, enthusiastic, and very energized. He was a happy go lucky, unique individual.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy of Sartell; siblings, Ronald (Rose) of Deerwood, Rita Burger of Menahga, Larry (Karolyn) of St. Cloud, Loren (Denise) of Rochester, Vivian (Jerry) Steabner of Rice, Virginia Haggerty of Colorado, Jo Henning of Sartell, Judy of Ohio, Mark (Sandra) of Sartell, Jean (Ron) Mrozek of Sauk Rapids, Gary (Carolyn) of St. Joseph, Dale (Denise) of Duelm, and Gail Havlik of Sauk Rapids. Peter was preceded in death by his father.
