Meet Dean and Buttons at the Tri-County Humane Society.

Tri-County Humane Society

Meet Dean.

If you’re an empty nester and in need of an energetic pooch to keep you busy, then Dean is packed and ready to move in!

Dean is a 1 year old neutered Black Lab mix who came to the shelter because he didn’t get along so well with the children in the home.

He can be a little shy and skittish around new people and the fast movement of little kids worries him.

Have a ball or Frisbee lying around? As long as you’re willing to throw them Dean will be willing to fetch them.

Dean is house-trained and will whimper when he needs to go outside.  He’s used to being crated at night or when he’s home alone.

Dean is a young, active and energetic dog who would do best in a home with a matching amount of energy to burn.

Meet Buttons.

Buttons is a neutered 1 year old cat who came to the shelter because he was not getting along with the other cat in the home. He got along fine with the dog however.

Buttons isn’t a big fan of regular cat toys, but put a paper bag on the floor and he creates his own amusement park. A park he likes to visit best after the sun goes down.

Enjoy watching late night TV? Buttons is also more of a night owl, so he’ll be there to keep you company.

Buttons has an independent personality and while he’s appreciates lap time, he’d rather jump on your lap than be picked up.

Buttons qualifies for the Name Your Own Price promotion and can be visited at the adoption center at Petco.
