Part Of Mall of America Closed After Bag Found Unattended

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A small part of the Mall of America was closed and a bomb squad was called in after a bag was found unattended.

Mall spokesman Dan Jasper says the bag was left on the first floor near the mall's north side Friday. Deputy Police Chief Rick Hart says the Bloomington bomb squad was called in and X-rayed the package but found nothing harmful.

People were not allowed in that area and several stores were closed down for about an hour-and-a-half.
