ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The state panel tasked with implementing Minnesota's medical marijuana program is working on details.

The 16-member task force meeting Thursday is expected to address the distribution process, legal concerns and other issues.

Twelve companies have applied to grow and distribute marijuana and have submitted a $20,000 application fee. Two of the 12 will be chosen with an announcement Dec. 1.

Patients will have the opportunity to apply for medical marijuana in May or early June and legally purchase it in pill, liquid or vapor form by July.
