Waite Park, SCSU to Partner On Plan for Future Growth in the City

Waite Park is exploring ways to better utilize the undeveloped areas of the city at they look towards the future. The city last updated their comprehensive plan back in 2006, and felt with the change in development and growth of the city, the ideas planned for those areas do not fit the mold for today.

St. Cloud Byerly’s Rebranding With Unified Name

The St. Cloud Byerly's is getting a new name and look this week. Starting Thursday, all 27 Lunds and Bylery's stores will be renamed Lunds & Byerlys. Customers will see new employee uniforms, name tags, grocery bags in the store. New storefront "Lunds & Byerlys" signage will also be installed at every location by the end of May.

Dayton to DNR: No More Moose Collaring

Gov. Mark Dayton has ordered the state Department of Natural Resources to stop the practice of radio-collaring moose as part of studying the animals. The governor's executive order Tuesday cites reports that the collaring has caused the deaths of some adult moose and the abandonment of some calves.

Shopko Hometown Store Opening in Paynesville

Paynesville is getting a Shopko. The company has announced they'll be moving into the vacant former Alco store at 810 Diekman Drive, under the "Shopko Hometown" store brand. There are over 200 Shopko Hometown stores, which is a smaller concept store for smaller communities.
