Orlin Anderson, age 88 of Foley, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Heritage of Foley Nursing Center.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016 at Gethsemane-Ronneby Lutheran Church, Ronneby. The Rev. Barbara Peterson will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Foley American Legion, Post 298. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, rural Menahga.
Friends may call from 10 to 12:00 PM Friday at the church in Ronneby. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Orlin Donald Anderson was born April 14, 1928 in Perham, Minnesota to Perly and Anna (Stangland) Anderson. He married Marlene Demaris on August 15, 1954 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Menahga. Orlin grew up in Wolf Lake and lived and worked as a drywall taper in Bismarck and Grand Forks. The couple also lived in Menahga and Osseo before moving to Ronnbey in 1978. Orlin and Marlene owned the Ronneby Bar and Cafe for several years before Orlin retired at the age of 64. Orlin was a member of the Wolf Lake VFW and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was known for his good nature and sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene of Foley; sons and daughters; Jacqueline (Gerald) Stone, Clearwater, FL; Donald (Laurie), Albertville; Judy (Dale) Peterson, Brooklyn Park; Cindy (Thomas) Cook, Rogers; Daniel (Denise), Pottsboro, TX and Vicki (Kevin) Brenny of Cedar; sister, Lillian Erickson, St. Paul, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters; Glen, Ardis Fuchs, Vernon, Lloyd, Leroy and Marvin.
