ST. CLOUD -- Kids Fighting Hunger, a Central Minnesota food aid organization, is holding their second annual "We Are Thankful" event Saturday at the River's Edge Convention Center.

The event gives people of all ages in our community a chance to provide much-needed food to people being quarantined in regions of West Africa due to the Ebola outbreak.

Because of the quarantine, access to food for aid workers and villagers becomes very limited.

Volunteers at the event will be asked to package rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and vitamin powder into individual meals to be sent to West Africa.

Kids Fighting Hunger is committed to sending one million meals to the affected region as soon as possible.

There are still a few spots open to sign up for and Kids Fighting Hunger needs help to set up for the event tomorrow (Friday) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To see how you can help, call Pam at 320-203-1799.
