Open House Tonight on Plans for New Highway 24 Bridge

Current Hwy 24 Bridge, MnDOT

CLEARWATER – A reminder for you that there is an informational meeting tonight (Monday) on the plans for a new Highway 24 bridge spanning the Mississippi River in Clearwater.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting the meeting at the Clearwater City Hall from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

The new bridge will be built just to the east, or downstream, from the existing bridge.

Construction is expected to begin in July 2015, with completion in the fall of 2016.

The existing Highway 24 bridge will remain open during the construction, and then will be dismantled once the new bridge opens.
