Brainerd Man Seriously Hurt, 2 From Freeport Also Hurt in Crash In Baxter

BAXTER -- One man was seriously hurt in a two vehicle crash in Baxter this afternoon (Tuesday).

The Minnesota State Patrol says 68-year-old Bertha Herdering of Freeport, was driving a 2008 Pontiac Vibe, when she failed to yield to cross traffic as she was attempting to turn south onto Business 371.

The vibe was hit on the driver's side by a Chevy Pickup heading North on Business 371.

28-year-old Justin Christensen, of Brainerd, was the driver of the pickup.

He suffered serious injuries.

Herdering and her passenger, 70-year-old Amrose Herdering, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
