UNDATED - A large storm system is expected to bring much needed rainfall across the Upper Midwest over the next few days, along with strong winds.

A cold front will march eastward across the area today bringing west winds gusting to 30 to 40 mph across parts of west central into southwest Minnesota .

In addition...parts of central Minnesota into western Wisconsin should see .10 more rainfall. Temperatures will be considerably cooler than the balmy day yesterday. Precipitation will become very light tonight...but another round of more widespread rains should develop on Thursday into early Friday.

Look for cooler temperatures Thursday and Friday with warmer weather returning on the weekend.

We have had virtually no rain in St. Cloud so far this month, and we've only had about a quarter of an inch of rain since September 1st.  We are nearly five inches below normal for rainfall for September and October combined.
