No Injuries In Fire At St.Paul Park Refinery

ST. PAUL PARK (AP) – Northern Tier Energy is assessing damage from a fire at its oil refinery in St. Paul Park.

Officials say the fire started in a crude oil pump about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters from the refinery, St. Paul Park and Newport extinguished the fire by 2:30 p.m.

No one was hurt in the fire. Northern Tier Energy says it’s notified the relevant federal, state and local agencies about the fire.

The refinery is located between the Mississippi River and Highway 61/10 in southern Washington County.
