ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud's public transportation system gets high marks from the local chapter of the National Federation of the Blind.

Chapter President Jeff Young says Metro Bus helps them to be mobile.

For an area this size, especially public transit with the bus system, it's actually pretty good. I can point you to some metro areas in the U.S. that are quite a bit bigger than this that don't have as good of a bus system.

Young says the biggest hurdle that blind people face both locally and nationally is finding a job, he says the unemployment rate is about 70-percent.

The local chapter of the National Federation of the Blind is holding their 29th annual Spaghetti Dinner and silent auction today (Friday) from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Eagles Club in St. Cloud.
