News @ Noon: Cemetery Enthusiast Promotes Positive Image [AUDIO]

UNDATED - A Minnesota author is on a mission to change the way we think about cemeteries.

Jim Rogers' new book is called "Northern Orchards: Places Near The Dead".

He says, by thinking about the people who have gone before us, cemeteries help put our lives in perspective.

Rogers says the modern trend is to depict cemeteries as scary places in Halloween and horror movies.   However, he says years ago they were a place for families to hang out.

Rogers says cemeteries help us realize that we're all part of a much bigger story.
