New Ulm Woman’s Death Ruled Hypothermia
NEW ULM (AP) — A 51-year-old New Ulm woman whose body was found in the woods last month died of hypothermia.
That's according to a preliminary autopsy report released by New Ulm police.
The body of Karen Schroeder was found Nov. 30, six days after she reportedly left her home on foot.
A volunteer search party found her body in a wooded area on the banks of the Cottonwood River.
Police earlier said cold conditions likely were a factor in her death. Foul play is not suspected.
