PAYNESVILLE -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin holding bi-weekly informational meetings this week on the Highway 23 Paynesville ByPass project.

The first public meeting will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Paynesville.  MnDOT staffers and contractors will be on hand to answer questions and provide construction updates.

The 7.5-mile bypass project will improve traffic flow around the city of Paynesville to the north. It's scheduled to be completed this August.
